In 1990 we started to move homes on to the continent and now have regular runs to Spain (every two weeks).
We have been in to Lapland in the north and Gibraltar in the south from Dingle in Ireland in the west to Budapest in the east.

Britons Removals relocated just up the road From Derby to Ripley in 1997 giving us a wider area of coverage, we moved back to Derby in July 2011 due to changes in the economy but still offer the full coverage as we did in Ripley.

Britons Removals have been storing furniture for 1000′s of people over the years in storage containers and we still use this method today (the best and safest way to store).
All your items are loaded in to our containers which are on our lorry, when we arrive back to our warehouse we forklift the containers off the lorry into our store.
All our containers are numbered and labeled and details are stored on the computer for your peace of mind.

The main reason for the way of storing is we only handle your load on collection and on delivery. Self store means you move the items your self (with out insurance) on to the van then into store, once again out of store on to your van and again off the van into your new home, thus meaning it has moved 4 times (more risk of damage). At Britons Removals its move once in to store and then out of store direct from the container off the lorry (with our insurance cover).

Local removals are mainly done in one day unless you have our packing service which means it is packing on day one and move day two.
Our staff are fully trained in packing and moving and with many working for Britons Removals for many years. We’re delicate and sensible with glass and chinaware and allow only fully trained and experienced staff to handle and pack expensive, precious and easily-damaged items.

We use special ‘railed’ wardrobe boxes for those expensive dresses and suits so they to arrive in perfect condition.

Linen goes flat in boxes. Mattresses slide into special protective wrappers to keep them dry and dust-free. Furniture is wrapped to protect corners and edges.

We’re careful and methodical when taking apart items that need to be reassembled.

We don’t lose or confuse things like wires for TV’s, home cinemas or computer technology equipment.

We know how to handle musical instruments and antiques.

We even provide special attention to your household plants and can offer help and advice about moving pets, fish or any other creatures that make up the whole family home removals project.
